It's official, the Computer Science program is being cut

John McVay announced that the CS program is cut in the faculty meeting this evening.

    I thought that the faculty governance system at WWU required Master Planning committee to be involved when decisions are being made about cutting a department. Aren't the faculty both long-term committed tenured individuals?

    Remember, it has yet to go to the Board of Trustees. There is still hope!! Also, as I understand it...and I may have misunderstood my source... McVay apparently conveyed a list departments facing cuts but did not exactly state the what and how of it...which is a little sneaky.
